Does the IWAE use donated funds to cover salaries?
No. The IWAE is strictly a non-profit . all-volunteer organization. Funds are used for the purchase
of art supplies, instructional materials, equipment, public relations, shipping expenses, and fund raising.
Is the IWAE a political organization or promote religious beliefs?
No.
The IWAE does respect the traditions and cultural view of involved.
Will
the IWAE offer art instruction only in the Baghdad area?
This program has its
roots in the Nassariah area and is expanding in the Baghdad area. We hope to expand the program to other provinces in
the near future. Plans are under way for the program in Irbil.
May use the
IWAE to market my artwork?
No. The IWAE is an organization dedicated to the cultural exchange of ideas and the support of Iraqi women in
their pursuit of expression through visual arts.
How can I be sure that my donations
will reach the women in Iraq?
We have ongoing contact with our partners, instructors, and
participants in Iraq. All donations are documented while all donors are provided receipts for their contributions.
The terms of our grants also require full accounting, reporting, and transparency on a quarterly basis and are a matter of
public record.
